Doane Athletics receives Gold Star of Champions of Character Honor

CRETE - Doane University Athletics has been tabbed as a Five-Star Champions of Character institution for 2021-22, receiving the Gold Star. Doane was one of 67 schools to receive the Gold Star honor this past year.

Schools selected are based off demonstration of commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Points are earned by student athletes having exception GPA's and minimal to no ejections during sporting events in the academic year.

Established Champions of Character Conference Committee

Conference has a conduct in competition oversight committee composed of a minimum of three members

At least 50% of members institutions must receive the NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award
