Eastern Nebraska under Red Flag Warning conditions Thursday
Those in eastern Nebraska are again experiencing conditions ripe for fires. The National Weather Service has placed much of the eastern half of the state in a Red Flag Warning for Thursday afternoon.

Those in eastern Nebraska are again experiencing conditions ripe for fires.
The National Weather Service has placed much of the eastern half of the state in a Red Flag Warning for Thursday afternoon.
Winds gusting between 40 and 45 miles per hour are possible throughout the afternoon. Wind speeds are forecast to decrease sharply after 8 p.m., according to the NWS.
Humidity levels are expected to be as low as 10 to 16 percent. The lowest levels of humidity will occur between 3 and 6 p.m.
It has already been an active fire weather week for southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas.
Crews spent several hours Tuesday battling fires near Hanover, Kan., Filley, Neb. and in Thayer County.
The Red Flag Warning expires at 9 p.m. Thursday.
