One dead after crash north of Hebron Thursday

HEBRON, NE — One person is dead after a van and semi collided in Thayer County Thursday evening.

HEBRON, NE — One person is dead after a van and semi collided in Thayer County Thursday evening. 

The Hebron Fire Department said the van was driving the wrong way on Highway 81 north of Hebron and collided head on with a semi truck. 

Officials say the driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi truck driver was taken to Thayer County Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Authorities say the semi truck driver was in stable condition as they were transported from the scene. 

The identities of the drivers have not been made public at this time.
