Rain, wet snow landing in southeast Nebraska Friday morning

Rain and snow fell over parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa early Friday, with the snow in a 30 mile wide band from Beatrice to Nebraska City to Red Oak, Iowa.

BEATRICE -- Rain and snow fell over parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa early Friday, with the snow in a 30 mile wide band from Beatrice to Nebraska City to Red Oak, Iowa.

Snow amounts of 1 to 4 inches were possible over southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, mainly south of Lincoln and the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.

Beatrice received 35-hundredths of an inch of rain overnight, before wet snow produced a layer of slush on roadways, early Friday morning.
