BEATRICE – Gage County law officers investigated two injury accidents Tuesday night southeast of Beatrice and west of Adams.

Deputies were sent to a two-vehicle injury accident at around 6:30 p.m., at South 94th and East Linden Road, just east of Holmesville.

A 2019 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 63-year-old Donna Weyer, of rural Blue Springs, allegedly drove through a stop sign and was struck by a 1994 GMC Sonoma driven by 35-year-old Brian Vrtiska, of rural Holmesville.

Weyer had a minor injury to her hand.  Neither driver required transport for medical treatment. Law officers cited Weyer for a stop sign violation.

At around 8:52 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Adams Fire and Rescue personnel were sent to Nebraska Highway 34-B and Aspen Road, for a single-vehicle accident.

Authorities say a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by 28-year-old Ashley Forshee, of rural Firth…went off the roadway, rolling several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Forshee was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, for treatment of unspecified injuries.
