Inmate goes missing from house arrest in Seward County

SEWARD, Neb. -- Authorities in Seward County are searching for a missing inmate.

The Seward County Sheriff's Department posted on Facebook on Wednesday, saying they are actively searching for 39-year-old Aariq Allen, who reportedly took off from house arrest near Pleasant Dale.

Sheriff's officials say they believe she left her residence sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Deputies are asking anyone who sees Allen, or knows where she may be, to contact authorities.
