KIMBALL -- Families with young children are invited to a Week of the Young Child Celebration that will have family activities, community resources and food trucks.

The event will be on Saturday, April 11 from noon – 3 p.m. at the Kimball County Fairgrounds/4-H Building.

This free community event is being organized by Kimball Communities for Kids (C4K) and local partners to celebrate early childhood and connect families with resources available in the community.

The celebration will include kid-friendly activities, giveaways, information booths from community organizations, and opportunities for parents and caregivers to learn more about programs that support young children and families. Bounce houses and food trucks are also planned.

Week of the Young Child is a nationwide celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) that recognizes the importance of early childhood and the role families and communities play in helping children learn, grow, and succeed.

More details about activities and participating organizations will be shared on the Kimball C4K Facebook page as the event approaches.

Please contact Jamie Bright at [email protected] or one of the other committee members organizing the event (Sarah Lewis, Elyse Lukassen, Angie Luppen, Kristi Shields) if your business or organization is interested in participating.
