Larry W. Trumble, 77, of Beatrice, passed away on November 21, 2025, at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 17, 1948, in Concordia, Kansas, to Charles and Lena (Cyr) Trumble. Larry grew up in Greenleaf, Kansas, and graduated from Greenleaf High School in 1966 before attending Kansas State University. In March 1968, Larry enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as an HFDF operator with the Naval Security Group. He was honorably discharged in December 1975. Following his military service, he earned a degree in electronics technology from NCK Votech and spent many years working in the electronics field. On May 9, 1987, Larry married Marcy Wissink in Holland, Nebraska. The couple lived in Lincoln for several years before moving to Washington, Kansas, in 2003, and eventually settling in Beatrice in 2005, where Larry resided until his passing. Larry was an avid ham radio operator since 1962, known by the callsign AE0G. A strong advocate for Morse code, he especially enjoyed working VHF band openings. He also found joy in feeding birds.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marcy; daughter, Jaime (Scott) Nissen; grandson, Corey (Grace) Marcks; brother, Ken (Cheryl) Trumble; and sisters-in-law, Glenda (Duane) Wissink and Mona (Norm) Auman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lena Trumble, and his parents-in-law, Glenn and Boots Wissink.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Holland Cemetery with Jon Palmquist officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Bitting-Norman Post #27 of the American Legion of Beatrice and the United States Navy Honor Guard. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. A register book will be available for signatures on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from noon until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Fox Funeral Home.
