Graduating Class Speaker Brooke Given, whose family moved to Beatrice from Atlanta….spoke of the Value of Fear.

"The classmates and the community I've spent these past six years with, have shown me I never had anything to be afraid of. My classmates have welcomed me with open arms and I find that the fear I experienced when I first moved to Beatrice, no longer exists...thanks to the kind community that welcomed me in. Beatrice High School transformed our perspectives on both our values and our lives. The community here is unmatched, and reminds us every day, to show kindness to everyone, regardless of the circumstance. I thank my classmates and friends who never made me feel like an outsider, and instead made me feel like I've always walked here. I never knew I had a home waiting for me one thousand three miles away in Beatrice, Nebraska."
