NRD prohibits open burning at recreation areas
Action follows statewide burn ban enacted in Nebraska
No campfires at recreation areas
BEATRICE – A southeast Nebraska resources district is instituting a safety measure at recreation areas.
The Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District has banned campfires or open burning of any kind, at district-controlled recreation areas.
The ban has been put in place due to ongoing dry conditions and will be in place until further notice.
