LINCOLN, Neb. - One of the biggest goals for Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola, and Head Coach Matt Rhule, was having him be physically fit.

When meeting with the media Tuesday, Raiola says he's worked hard to get his body into the proper form for spring practice and beyond. Raiola says he's spent time boxing daily in the offseason and it's been a team effort with Nebraska's strength and nutrition staff's and even his own father, Dominic.

"Grateful for our strength staff our conditioning staff, even my dad, he's been heavily involved as well," Raiola said. "It's been a team effort, I feel amazing right now, probably the best shape I've ever been in. I went on spring break, came back 9-10 pounds lighter."

Raiola says it's been a grind, but he understands the importance of being fit to play the quarterback position.

Last season, Raiola threw for over 2,800 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
