Jeremy "Frog" Othmer, born May 19, 1982, in Tecumseh, NE, lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication. He died on February 22, 2025 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. His spirit was as boundless as his loyalty to those he cherished, and he touched countless lives with his vibrant persona. He was a graduate of Conestoga High School, a dedicated carpenter for the railroad, and the best husband, son, and friend imaginable. As Albert Schweitzer once said, “In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” Jeremy was certainly one of those people, rekindling spirits with his infectious charisma and zest for life.

Jeremy was an adventurous soul who reveled in the thrill of hunting, fishing, bull riding, golfing, and cooking. He had an insatiable thirst for adrenaline and a passion for exploring the world. His love of travel reflected his adventurous spirit, while his dedication to his profession showcased his commitment to hard work and excellence. Jeremy understood the importance of family and friends, always placing them at the forefront of his life. He was a loving partner to his wife, Jessica Umberger, whom he married on August 3rd, 2018, and a loyal friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Jessi; his parents, Thomas and Ranae (Packett) Othmer; his sisters, Heather (Eric) Brown and Jess (Ian) Mitchell, his sisters-in-law, Kati Umberger and  Ali Umberger; his father-in-law, Mark Umberger; nephews, Nolan, Caden, Jameson, and Porter; beloved dogs, Gypsy and Chunky and cat, Ginger; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of extended family and friends. Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Leah Umberger; his grandparents Wilber and Marcy Othmer, and Dale and Elaine Packett; and furbabies, Merle, Rosie, Baxter, Leo, Sasha and Hunter.

His departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. As Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life." Jeremy fully embraced this philosophy, living a life full of adventure, love, and dedication.
