Mark Hunter Reck
Mark Hunter Reck, known to many as Hunter, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2024. Born in Hope, AR on June 30, 1985, Mark Hunter lived an adventurous and vibrant life, making his home in Wilber, Nebraska.
Hunter was a supportive and loving husband, father, son, and brother. He married his beloved wife, Krista Odvody, on October 12, 2019, and they created a beautiful family together. Hunter was a dedicated safety team leader at Koch Fertilizer, where his supportive nature was deeply valued by his colleagues. Beyond his professional life, Hunter was a man of many passions. He loved fishing and hunting, and his collection of fishing poles was a testament to his adventurous spirit. Having attended Culinary School, Hunter's love for cooking brought joy and delicious meals to many. Above all, he cherished attending his children's activities and spending quality time with his family.
Hunter is survived by his wife, Krista Reck of Wilber; sons, Keyton Drake and Bennett McCoy Reck; daughter, Hazley Grace Reck; father, Mark W. Reck of St. Joe, AR; mother, Hope Burks of Texarkana, AR; sister, Summer Stigaullde of Conway, AR; brother, Kolby Reck of Conway, AR; mother-in-law, Mary (Mark) Cadotte; father-in-law, Perry Odvody; sister-in-law, Alexa Landeros; brothers-in-law, Byron Prokop, Aaron (Ali) Odvody, and Chance Odvody; and his grandparents-in-law, James & Trudy Prokop; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. He is also survived by his best friend Joshua L. Myrick, and by his beloved dog Zeus.
There will be a Celebration of Hunter’s Life Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Wilber Legion Club in Wilber, NE. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to his family.
