BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s officers arrested a man Wednesday for using a tractor to ram into vehicles, allegedly trying to run over people at the scene.

Deputies were sent at 3:23 p.m. to a West Buckeye Road location near Clatonia…a reported disturbance that was escalating while law officers were enroute. Saline County Sheriff’s Officers were also summoned, given the location of the incident…and all deputies arrived at the location within a minute of each other.

Authorities say 80-year-old Eddy Domann of rural Clatonia was arguing with a neighbor over access to property, when he got into a tractor and allegedly attempted to block access to the other person’s property.  The dispute then escalated and he rammed the tractor into a forklift that was being driven by the neighbor. Deputies say the tractor was driving toward and nearly running over workers the neighbor had hired.

Gage County law officers arrested Domann on suspicion of three counts of third-degree assault and second-degree criminal trespass.
