LINCOLN, NEB. - Nebraska's wide receiver room is hoping to make a jump in 2024.

The room consists of a collection of veteran transfers and younger talent. Nebraska brought in Isaiah Neyor Jr, a transfer from Texas, along with Jahmal Banks, who comes to Lincoln from Wake Forest. Ready to begin their sophomore year include receivers such as Malachi Coleman and Jalen Lloyd.

Receiver coach Garret McQuire says the depth in the room is something to be happy about and that the younger talents in the room, are making an impact.

"Those guys haven't shied away," McGuire said. "You look at a guy like Jalen Lloyd last season who in the last six games had three TD's of 50 plus yards, Malachi has that big catch against Northwestern that helps us win the ball game.... Both those guys have competed with the best of them. There's a standard in that room that I think Isaiah and Jahmal are raising, from not just a physical stand point, but a mental stand point."

Neyor is a transfer from Texas, who also played college ball at Wyoming and returns to action after suffering a torn ACL in 2022 that hindered playing time in 2023. He and redshirt freshman Janiran Bonner are confident in the groups abilities.

"We have guys who are quick and fast, tall guys who can high point the ball at a high level," Neyor said. "You got guys who can do different things at a high level."

"The vibe is very high, everyone's energy is very high," Bonner said. "The energy is there and everyone's ready to work."
