Ol' Red 99.5 hosts 23rd annual Thanksgiving dinner

FAIRBURY, Neb. -- Ol' Red 99.5 hosted its 23rd annual community Thanksgiving dinner at the Fairbury Elks Lodge Thursday.

The meal is designed for anyone who may not have family or friends in the area or are unable to prepare a meal for themselves.

Ol' Red 99.5 staff members spent several hours over the past couple of days to prepare for Thursday. The station was assisted by several local businesses including Jefferson Community Health & Life, Husker Rehab, Starr Buckow Insurance and others.

The event was successful with 414 meals served along with $1,308 being donated by diners. The money will be split between the BVCA food bank and the Hope Crisis Center.
