BEATRICE, Neb - A member of Lady Orange softball is receiving national recognition. 

Delanie Roeder has been named Extra Inning Softball's High School Player of the Week. The honor goes to high school players across the country to recognize outstanding achievements.

In two games last week, Roeder helped Beatrice to a pair of wins going 7-for-8 with three homers, nine RBIs and 18 stolen bases. She homered in a 10-0 win over Malcolm, while also collecting a single and a double. In a 15-13 win over Seward, Roeder went 4-for-5 with two homers and six RBIs while also doubling. 

Roeder is bating .520, slugging at a clip of 1.110.
