Late Monday morning accident in north Beatrice causes minor injuries

BEATRICE – A two-vehicle collision in north Beatrice just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, caused minor injuries.
The accident happened next to the North 6th Street Casey’s General Store. Beatrice Police Sergeant Wes Henning says a turning vehicle and another vehicle collided.
"The car was headed northbound and a gray SUV was turning into North Casey's here and turned in front of the vehicle. It sounds like there was maybe another vehicle turning into Runza...blocking the view....so that may have been a factor."
Beatrice Fire and Rescue paramedics were dispatched to the scene to treat those injured . Henning says it did not appear there were serious injuries in the wreck.
Northbound traffic was slowed or rerouted away from the highway, while southbound traffic was able to use the outside lane to move around the scene
