LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Lincoln man was sentenced for a child pornography conviction and will serve four years in prison
Acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said 31-year-old Justin Liekhus, of Lincoln, was sentenced on Aug. 15. He was convicted for possession of child pornography. Liekhus will serve four years in prison with a 10-year term of supervised release after. There is no parole in the federal system.
Authorities said investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol got information from Dropbox, Inc. that certain user accounts had been storing child pornography. The IP address for those accounts went back to Liekhus’s home in Lincoln.
Court documents state that law enforcement used a search warrant at Liekhus’s home on Oct. 6, 2021. A laptop and a memory card were found and had several videos of minors, including prepubescent minors, engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Officials said Liekhus admitted the devices that had the child porn were his, and that he had been downloading child porn.
The investigation was conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol and Homeland Security Investigations.
