YORK, Neb. – A 64-year-old southeast Nebraska man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman with disabilities.
Danny Coy, of Bradshaw, faces a felony count of abusing a vulnerable adult, in addition to a misdemeanor third-degree sexual assault charge.
According to court documents, Coy knocked on the door of a York apartment in which a woman who was “mentally impaired” resided.
After the woman let him in, York Police say, he shut the door behind him and then groped the woman before making her touch his genitals.
A York Housing Authority staff member called police on behalf of the reported victim.
According to police, surveillance video showed Coy entering and exiting the woman’s apartment.
Coy was arrested on Wednesday and held on 10% of $50,000 bond, which he has paid.
He is scheduled in York County Court on Aug. 2.
