BEATRICE, Neb. - Beatrice Police made a DUI and gun arrest on Tuesday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to SW 32nd and Blue Ridge Dr. for a car stuck on railroad tracks. Upon arrival, officers found a black Chevy Camaro, with then engine running, occupied by 48-year-old Brandee Freauf.

Officers said they had Freauf exit the vehicle, noticing signs of impairment, listed as "unsteady on her feet" and "blood shot watery eyes."

Freauf gave officers permission to search for her license. While doing so, officers noticed a Ruger .380 firearm, with bullets loaded, in the center console.

Officers could not locate an ID as Freauf had been arrested in Lincoln for a third-offense DUI.

According to authorities, Freauf stated she knew the gun was in the vehicle and said it belonged to her father.

Officers said they asked her to perform a field sobriety test after continuous slurred speech and unsteadiness, but Freauf refused.

Then officers requested a breath test and she agreed, blowing a .367 followed by a .314 after a 15-minute waiting period.

Officers arrested Freauf on charges of third-offense DUI over .15 and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
