Kansas Amber Alert called off...mother of children in custody

BEATRICE - The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says an Amber Alert has been canceled after four children from Topeka were found safe and their mother is in custody.
The KBI issued the alert around 1:30 p.m. Monday, for Au’Vae Riley, Da’avian Riley Jr., Ty’rell Riley and Aunila Riley. At 3:20 p.m., the KBI issued an update stating the children ranging in age from five to twelve years old....were located and the suspect is in custody.
Topeka Police said the children’s mother, Dontresha Shabree Thomas took them just after 10:30 a.m. Monday from 2105 SE Swygart Ave. She allegedly made comments to the father that led authorities to believe the children were in imminent danger.
Thomas has been arrested for aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement, child endangerment and criminal threat.
