Lancaster County authorities investigate body found in ditch

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities in the Lancaster County are investigating a human body that was found in a ditch.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said that around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, they got a call from a citizen that there was a dead body in the ditch about half a mile S of Highway 33 on SW 128th St.
Authorities said that the body has currently been identified as an unknown race adult male, about 5'4" tall.
Officials said that it is known the body has been in that location for some time.
LSO said this investigation is in its early stages, and the death is being classified as undetermined.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
The Sheriff's Office said they will update the community as they get more information and the investigation continues.
