Two arrested after reportedly pulling out a gun in Lincoln traffic

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man and woman were arrested after they reportedly yelled at and pulled out a gun on a 19-year-old in Lincoln traffic.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the LPD Service Desk, 575 S 10th St., on Tuesday for a reported weapons violation.
Officers said the caller reported being followed by a black sedan and that one of the passengers had taken out a handgun. The victim was a 19-year-old woman.
According to authorities, the woman told them that she was sitting in her vehicle near S 16th St. and Garfield St. when a white sedan came up beside her. There were two people inside the white sedan and they reportedly started to yell at her. The people in the sedan reportedly believed the victim's mother was responsible for a disturbance the night before.
Officials said the victim drove away from the white sedan but they reportedly followed her and a black sedan joined them. The victim reported stopping at 13th St. and F St. when a passenger in the black sedan rolled down their window and took out a handgun.
LPD said the victim drove to the LPD Service Desk to report what had happened. An officer had found the black sedan and performed a traffic stop on them.
Officers said 30-year-old Tiffani Ironhorse and 18-year-old Jesse Puente Mendez were the people inside the black sedan. They were both taken into custody after officers reportedly found a 9mm handgun inside the vehicle. The white sedan had also showed up to the scene at that time and the officers talked to them.
According to authorities, Ironhorse was arrested for aiding and abetting a Class IIIA felony and Puente Mendez was arrested for terroristic threats. The two people from the white sedan were a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl. The man was cited/released for disturbing the peace while the teen was referred for disturbing the peace.
