FAIRBURY, NE — With the holiday season upon us, first responders in Fairbury are looking for help from the community to help those going through hard times. 

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Fairbury Rural Fire Department, Jefferson County Ambulance and Blue Valley Community Action are teaming up for their annual Stuff the Emergency Vehicle event. 

The car to be filled up will be at the Walmart in Fairbury on the first three Saturdays in Decemeber. Times are as follows:

Saturday, Dec. 3: 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 17: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

They're looking for a variety of items ranging from items to help parents like diapers, wipes, blankets and toiletries to toys for kids aged 0-18 such as stuffed animals, footballs, remote control toys or DVDs.
