Beatrice firefighters summoned to three locations, over the Fourth holiday

BEATRICE – Beatrice Firefighters were sent to a couple of small fires over the holiday weekend…dispatched to fires in dumpster containers.
One call issued by Southeast Communications Center came at 10:59 p.m, Fourth of July evening…..sending personnel to the 18-hundred block of Scott Street at an apartment complex. That dumpster fire was extinguished in about eight minutes.
Firefighters were then sent this morning at 12:15 a.m. to a location next to the Beatrice Daily Sun offices, for a second dumpster fire. It was put out, in about six minutes.
Department personnel were also sent at 1:04 a.m. to a fire in the middle of the street, apparently from fireworks. That call was in the 700-block of High Street.
Beatrice Police reported responding to about 15 fireworks complaints over the holiday weekend.....mostly noise complaints.
