LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department arrested a 60-year-old man who was trespassing on a property for terroristic threats.

LPD said officers were sent to 1111 O Street at 2:10 p.m. on June 23.

Officers said they made contact with 60-year-old Bernard Anderson who was sleeping next to the building and informed him that he was trespassing and needed to leave.

According to authorities, Anderson walked away at first but was seen laying next to the building again a couple of minutes later.

The report said officers told Anderson again that he was trespassing and had to leave.

LPD said Anderson took out a pocketknife, pointed it at the officers and threatened to assault them with it.

Officers said they were able to make contact with Anderson from a short distance away and recovered a folding pocketknife that was in his pants pocket.

Authorities said Anderson was arrested with a felony for terroristic threats and a misdemeanor for trespassing.
