Lincoln Police release identity of victim in homicide

Lincoln Police have released the identity of a man killed Thursday morning at his home.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Police have released the identity of a man killed Thursday morning at his home. 

LPD Assistant Chief Jason Stille said Friday that 57-year-old Henry Lee Jones was killed during a fight. 

Officers were initially called to a report of two men fighting around 6:30 a.m.

Police said Jones was unresponsive when officers arrived, he was taken to a local hospital where later he died. 

Three people were arrested in connection with the incident.

32-year-old Derrick Pearson and 31-year-old Briana Jelinek were arrested for manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony. 

25-year-old Micah Berggren was arrested for second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. 

According to LPD, the people arrested and the victim knew each other. 

This is Lincoln's first homicide of the year and the investigation is ongoing.
