NEBRASKA -- Nebraska's Federal Delegation is urging President Joe Biden for help recovering from December's tornadoes.

U.S. Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse and Representatives Jeff Fortenberry, Don Bacon, and Adrian Smith echoed support for Governor Pete Ricketts' request for a major disaster declaration for 25 different counties.

The letter estimates about $6.5 million worth of damage was done in the rare winter tornadoes, that knocked out power to about 34,000 customers.
