Robert L. Lantz, 76, of Beatrice passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln. He was born July 2, 1944 in Barnes, Kansas. Robert graduated from Barnes High School in 1962 and then served his country in the United States Navy. He moved to Gettysburg, South Dakota and worked as a pig farmer, there he met Connie Maas and they were married on September 25, 1973. They moved to Beatrice in 1979 and he worked as a Welder for Northern Natural Gas for 25 years. He was a member of Christ Community Church of Beatrice. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and anything that involved the outdoors. He loved his pets and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Connie of Beatrice; children, Tammie Janzen of Beatrice, Michcal Lantz and significant other Sara McLaughlin of Beatrice, James (Sherry) Lantz of Beatrice, YaVonne Lantz and significant other Andrew Pinney of Beatrice, Robert Lantz, Jr. of Beatrice, Ronald (Andrea) Lantz of Fairbury; brother, Ralph (Patty) Lantz, Jr. of Beatrice; sister, Mary (Allen) Hillegas of Corsicana, Texas; grandchildren, Michala Janzen, Cassie Janzen, Quintin Lantz, Paige Lantz, Sierra Lantz, Conner Lantz, Bradon Lantz, Isabella Pinney, Lily Pinney, Tristyn Pinney, Austin Pinney, David Lantz, Brody Lantz, Makena Lantz, Ronald Lantz, Jr., and Cara Lantz. He was preceded in death by father, Ralph Lantz, Sr.; mother, Dorothy (Lantz) Wahl; step-father, Julius Wahl; step-mother, Francene Wahl; infant brother, LeRoy Lantz; brother, George Wahl; daughter-in-law, Vicki Lantz; grandson, Bryce McLaughlin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Christ Community Church in Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. at the church. Masks are recommended. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will meet and greet relatives and friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.
