Joyce W. Jurgens

Joyce W. Jurgens, 86, of Beatrice, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2026, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.  She was born on May 29, 1939, in Lankin, ND.  Her family lived in Minnesota, and Hastings and Friend, NE, before moving to Beatrice in 1957.  After high school graduation Joyce worked at Store Kraft and then was the assistant in the financial department at Beatrice State Developmental Center for many years.  She was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice and enjoyed her pet cats.

Joyce is survived by many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alyce (Trousil) Kosobud; her brother, Dr. William (Misako) Kosobud.

It was Joyce’s wish to use cremation with no visitation. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice with Father Leo Kosch officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.    www.foxfuneralhome.net    Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
