Shed destroyed in early morning fire on East Third Avenue in Torrington. Firefighters battled a fully involved blaze and venting propane tanks.

TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Firefighters responded to a fully involved shed fire Monday morning in the 600 block of East Third Avenue, according to the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department.

Crews were dispatched at approximately 7:30 a.m. Engine 6 arrived on scene to find the shed heavily engulfed in flames. Fire officials said two propane tanks stored inside the structure were beginning to vent, prompting firefighters to adjust their tactics while working to control the blaze.

The fire was extinguished, and crews conducted extensive overhaul operations to remove hay stored inside the shed to ensure no hot spots remained.

The shed was deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported.

Resources responding to the scene included Command, Engine 6, Tower 1, Rural 1, Fire 2 and 16 firefighters.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
