Kent A. Parde, 57, of Beatrice, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln surrounded by his family after his courageous battle with cancer. No matter how tough some days may have been, he always stayed positive and continued to ask “Okay, what’s next?”. Kent was born on May 1, 1968, in Beatrice to Ernest and Dorothy (Schuster) Parde. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1986 and later earned his degree from Wichita Automotive & Electronics Institute. Kent dedicated 36 years to his career as a Case IH service technician. For more than 10 years, he was self-employed and most recently worked at Gage County Equipment. Kent enjoyed sports of all kinds, racing, WWE wrestling, and cheering on the Husker football team.
Survivors include his daughters, Erica (Kyle) Benash of Roca and Emily (Brian) Heiserman of Daykin; grandchildren, Audree Benash, Kenadee and Kohen Heiserman; sisters, Cheryl (Leroy) Meints of Filley, Glenda (Steve) Knoche of Virginia and Janet (Tim) Gabriel of Holdrege; brother, Keith Parde of Pickrell; best friend, Deb Johnson of Beatrice; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy (Schuster) Parde, and grandson, Brody Benash.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Renae Koehler officiating. In keeping with Kent’s spirit, guests are encouraged to wear casual clothing and Husker attire to the service. Private family inurnment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Pickrell. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. A register book will be available for signatures on Monday, January 5, 2026, from noon until 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Fox Funeral Home in Beatrice.
