BEATRICE, Neb. - A woman was arrested Tuesday after a juvenile petition was filed accusing her of using meth and driving her children before falling asleep at the wheel.

According to court documents, 36-year-old Kristina Harris, was arrested and cited with felony child abuse. She has not yet been charged, and it’s unclear if her bond has been set.

Officers said she was reportedly under the influence of a CNS depressant or was showing extreme withdrawal of a CNS stimulant and was neglecting to properly care for her two young children.

Authorities also accused Harris of sleeping in her home while one of her children was reportedly outside of the residence, alone, with feces running down her pants.

Police also reported that Harris admitted to using meth and had a pipe in her garage.

Harris’ first court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9.
