Beatrice Police respond to pickup, scooter accident

Authorities in southeast Nebraska responded to a crash involving a scooter and a pickup truck on Tuesday.

BEATRICE, Neb. - Authorities in southeast Nebraska responded to a crash involving a scooter and a pickup truck on Tuesday. 

According to BPD, the accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 77 and the entrance to the Walmart parking lot on the city's north side. BPD says a scooter heading south, operated by a 62-year-old man, attempted to cut through the intersection, to turn into the driveway when he was struck by a pickup. 

The driver of the scooter hit his head on the pickups right front and was transported to Bryan West in Lincoln with non-life threatening injuries.

No citations were given.
