One in custody for attempted theft in Cortland

One person is in custody southeast Nebraska for attempted theft.

CORTLAND, Neb. - One person is in custody southeast Nebraska for attempted theft.

According to the Gage County Sheriff's Office, on July 28, deputies were dispatched to Cortland on a report of one male attempting to enter vehicles and homes. Authorities arrested 24-year-old Corbyn Day of Pickrell at 5th and Sheridan in Cortland. 

Witnesses said he attempted to enter multiple vehicles in Cortland. 

Day was arrested for disturbing the peace and attempted theft by unlawful taking. He was booked into jail at the Gage County Detention Center.
