BEATRICE, Neb. - A business in southeast Nebraska is celebrating a new location, that they hope brings more business and recognition. 

Lampton Welding Supply held a grand opening celebration at their N. 6th street location on the north edge of Beatrice. Branch manager Tyler Tellez says the new location is a step up. 

"Lot of customers have been coming out, love it," Tellez said. "Old location, lot of old timers, people who had lived there for 50 years had no idea we were down there."

Lampton has served welders, fabricators, and manufacturers since 1946. Customers perused the new location, which had a number of suppliers on hand for demonstrations. Tellez says the new location provides opportunity to expand service, equipment, and expertise to the local welding and industrial community. 

One of the best perks of the new location is visibility, including a large blue and yellow sign, visible from all around north Beatrice. 

"They've been saying this signs bigger than the Walmart sign," Tellez said. "Our last store was maybe only 20x20, really small. This is a huge upgrade for us and a great opportunity for growth. Looking to push into Lincoln, Omaha so it's a huge upgrade for us."

Lampton is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
