Preliminary budget, program plans approved by Southeast Community College Board
SCC expansion plans continuing with Construction Technology and Science proposals
BEATRICE – The Governing Board of Southeast Community College has given preliminary approval to a budget totaling just under $350 million for the 2025-2026 academic year. Final approval will be considered this September.
SCC Tuition and fees for the coming year have been set at $125 per semester hour for in-state students…. a 1.6 percent increase from the year before.
In other action at the SCC Lincoln Campus on Tuesday, the board approved program statements for a proposed Construction Technology Center on the Milford Campus, and a three-story Science Center at the Lincoln Campus, connected to the new Sandhills Global Technology Center, which began operating this year.
The program statements now go to the Nebraska Coordinating Commission on Postsecondary Education for possible approval.
Meanwhile, a renovated Nebraska Hall….an old dorm building on the Milford Campus, is getting set to open as a new Student Center. A September 5th ribbon cutting is being planned by college officials.
