WYMORE -  Residents of the Wymore Rural Water System experienced a loss of pressure in the system over the holiday weekend.  The cause of the pressure loss was a reported break in a water line.

The Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District is urging customers of the system to boil their water for one minute, before drinking or cooking…or use an alternate source of water. The line break was reported to NRD staff at around 4 a.m., Saturday.   Repairs have now been made to the line, but the boil advisory remains in place, for now.

The NRD says the request is in effect until sampling indicates no further contamination has occurred.

The Wymore Rural System is continuing to test the water and is working with the Nebraska Department Health and Human Services, Drinking Water Program, to protect the public health.
