Kenneth L. Vogt, 92, of Beatrice passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Bryan West Medical Center of Lincoln. He was born September 5, 1932, at rural Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949.  He married Janice Scott on June 24, 1951, at the First Christian Church in Beatrice.  He served in the United States Navy. He worked at Store Kraft and Dempsters as an engineer and the Hoover Group as the regional manager.  He was moved to Tillsonburg Ontario Canada by Hoover where he managed their plant.  They returned to Plymouth in 1971 before moving to Beatrice.  He and his wife helped build the current Peace United Methodist Church in Plymouth.  He and Jan enjoyed flying their own plane throughout the United States and he was an avid golfer. 

 

            Survivors include his two sons, Richard (Renee) Vogt and Randy (Sophia) Vogt; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents, Armin and Elsie Ruhnke Vogt; one brother, Vernon and Loretta Vogt and one sister, Delores Vogt.

 

            Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Peace United Methodist Church of Plymouth with Pastor Lori Miller officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery of Plymouth. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home in Beatrice on Friday from noon until 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Bright Focus Foundation for prevention of Macular Degeneration. www.brightfocus.org/macular/    www.foxfuneralhome.net  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
