Joan M. Creevan

Joan Creevan, age 87 of Beatrice, formerly of Wymore, passed away on April 14, 2025 at her home. She was born in Beatrice, NE on October 12, 1937 to John & Martha Goes. Joan grew up on her family farm south of Beatrice where she lived until 2017. During her time on the farm, she was actively involved with the dairy, stock cattle and row crop production.
Joan was a 1954 graduate of Wymore High School. After high school, Joan worked for Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance for several years. During this time period, she met and married Gerald “Jerry” Creevan. To this union, three children were born.
Joan’s life revolved around family and agriculture. She had a great work ethic. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s school and sporting activities. After she moved to Beatrice in 2017, she still remained active with the farm life. Joan also enjoyed several vacations, square dancing, gardening, checking the cows, playing cards, visits to the Sunrise Bakery, attending the Barneston Fish Fry and she especially found relaxation on her John Deere gator at the farm.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary (Ross) Trauernicht of Pickrell, Dave (Linda) Creevan of R. Blue Springs, and Beth (James) Oltman of R. Cortland; her grandchildren and their spouses, Alyssa (Corey) Lieneman, Justin Trauernicht, Lucas (Sami) Trauernicht, Jake Creevan (fiancée, Molly Hesnard), Zach (Kelsie) Creevan, John (Nealey) Oltman, and Erin Oltman; great grandchildren, Tavin and Layton Lieneman, Kove Trauernicht, Bennett Creevan, and Andie Oltman; and a host of extended family and friends.
