RoseAnn Volz entered heaven to reunite with her family she has missed on April 10, 2025. She was surrounded by her family when she departed the earth. She was born on August 22, 1934 in Pawnee City to Elmer and Reva Hunzeker and had a younger brother, Raymond. RoseAnn was raised by her very strong mother, mostly in DuBois. It was there she grew up with and later married William Volz in 1952. After marrying, they farmed outside Dubois. They started their family with a daughter, Karen, and lived in California for a short time. They returned to Nebraska and settled in Beatrice where almost 14 years later, they were all surprised (especially Karen) by another daughter, Kirsten. William and RoseAnn ran laundromats in Beatrice and Pawnee City for many years. RoseAnn also had a career at Beatrice State Developmental Center starting as a caregiver and later being a Supervisor-at-Large. She very much enjoyed leading the Girl Scout troop at BSDC and had many fond memories of the camping trips she led every summer. She remained active in Girl Scouts many years with Kirsten's troop leading three of the girls all the way to the Gold Award. She continued to lead girls in scouting after her initial three graduated.

She also enjoyed birdwatching and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her two grandsons, Jesse and Alex.

She was a very giving person with her final act being the donation of her body to Creighton University where she will continue to teach others.

Family will hold a private service at a later date. Donations in her name may be made to the Beatrice Humane Society or the Arbor Day Foundation. www.foxfuneralhome.net. Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
