Mary A. Divis, 67, of Pickrell, died Saturday night, April 5, 2025 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.  She was born on December 22, 1957 in Ames, IA to Phil and Rita Baumel.  Mary graduated from high school and then received her degree in engineering.  On October 13, 1995 she married Daniel D. Divis in Dubuque, IA.  They lived in Iowa before moving to Auburn, NE, and then Pickrell, NE.  She worked for the John Deere Co. in Iowa and Husqvarna in Beatrice as an engineer.  Mary was very active at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Beatrice. 

Survivors include her husband, Dan Divis of Pickrell; father, Phil Baumel; brothers, Steve (Helen) Baumel and Mark (Amy) Baumel; sisters, Beth (Bruce) Ring and Margaret (Kevin) Steffens; nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, Bill and Jan Divis.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Baumel.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Beatrice with Father Leo Kosch, Celebrant.  Inurnment will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery north of Beatrice.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
