Wymore native's hiring fills vacancy due to retirement

BEATRICE – A new Veterans Service Officer is beginning his job in Gage County.


Keil Mick was introduced to Gage County Board members Wednesday by Chairman Jason Hartig and other members of the local veterans’ service committee.


"I graduated with the Class of 2004 from Wymore....born and raised, I've been here ever since. I spent my time in the military. I spent six years in the United States Air Force....two years at Ramstein Air Base in Germany....four years at LIttle Rock Air Force Base....two tours overseas in the Middle East."


Mick takes over for Scott Bates, who recently retired as Gage County Veterans’ Service Officer.
