Rosalie Emilye Oaks, born May 16, 1947, in Geneva, Nebraska. She passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska at Bryan East Hospital on March 11, 2025. Mom worked numerous jobs throughout her life her passion waitress at Parker's Steakhouse in Denton, Nebraska, Diamond T in Beatrice, Nebraska, Griffey's, Rowdy's, and Trailblazers, and Pizza Hut in Fairbury, Nebraska. Mom and Dad owned a grocery store/laundromat in Staplehurst, Nebraska. She worked in a broom factory in Nebraska and my parents bid on mail route contracts they drove for years delivering mail to towns. She also worked at Fairbury Foods in Fairbury, Nebraska. Rose was a loving servant of the Lord. She adopted so many friends that became children and grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and hosted many get togethers. She found it easy to prepare a meal for unknown numbers without even a proper kitchen. Her love of serving others at venues, diners, and her church Believe Assembly of God, showed her love for Jesus. Everyone had their fill, and she kept the coffee hot and the cups topped off. It was always comforting to know Rose was around. She loved on everyone, took care of those less fortunate and you never left with an empty tummy or heart of Jesus. She made discipleship easy and was a great example to family and friends. The Lord has called our earthly Angel home, and we look forward to being with her again one day.
