OMAHA, Neb. - Merrick Johnson is a state champion for Beatrice wrestling. 

Johnson knocked off York's Brooks Loosvelt by a 5-2 decision to take home the Class B championship in the 175 pound division. 

Johnson's sister Aubrey collected her first medal, taking home a third place honor, earlier this week during the girls state tournament.
