Scottsbluff names Krisa Brass as new Chief of Police

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Scottsbluff City Manager Kevin Spencer announced Thursday Captain Krisa Brass as the new Chief of Police, highlighting her dedication, leadership and deep understanding of the community.
“Krisa embodies the highest leadership standards and unwavering dedication, having been an integral member of the Scottsbluff Police Department for over a decade,” Spencer said.
Brass has served in various roles within the department, giving her extensive experience in addressing law enforcement challenges. Spencer praised her ability to foster relationships both within the department and with the community, calling her an “approachable” and “respected” figure in law enforcement.
“Her commitment to justice, transparency, and public safety is evident in her initiatives, which have significantly enhanced community engagement and crime prevention efforts,” he said.
Spencer expressed confidence in Brass’s leadership, stating that her vision and strategic approach would drive innovation and excellence in service.
