Malinda Jobman

Malinda M. Jobman, 73, of Beatrice passed away on Friday afternoon, February 7, 2025 at an Omaha hospital. She was born on March 30, 1951 in Beatrice to Edwin and Genevieve (Lineweber) Eckhoff. Malinda graduated from Wymore Southern High School in 1969. On August 23, 1970 she married Donald Jobman at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice. They were blessed with three daughters. Malinda was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of rural Beatrice, had served on the church council, sang in the choir, and belonged to Joy Circle. She also was a member of Women of Today and was a past president of the group. Malinda enjoyed being in her kitchen, gardening, canning, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Jobman of Beatrice; daughters, Julie (Kevin) Monfelt of Beatrice, Jill (JT) Karlin of Pickrell, and Joni (Nathan) Schwab of Beatrice; seven grandchildren, Kaylyn (Josh) Escher, Maggie (Cole) Baumgartner, Paxton Parde, Bailey and Mallory Schwab, and Bryce and Cole Karlin; great-grandson, Beau Escher; mother, Genevieve Eckhoff of Beatrice; sister, Kathleen Wittmus of Lincoln; brothers, Allen (Liz) Eckhoff, Larry Eckhoff (friend, Patty Kuntz) and Daylon Eckhoff (friend, Betsy Mick) all of Beatrice; sisters-in-law, Marian (Lorentze) DeBuhr and Lynette Jurgens (friend, Duane Ruh) all of Beatrice; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Abriel Schwab; father, Edwin Eckhoff; brother, Jimmy Dean Eckhoff; parents-in-law, Ernest and Anna Jobman; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Gerald) Folkerts.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of rural Beatrice with Pastor Chuck Bentjen officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Monday from noon until 8:00 P.M. The family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice.
