BEATRICE, Neb. - As ice and ice freezing mist descend on southeast Nebraska, Beatrice Public Schools is ending Wednesday classes at 2:00 p.m.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of southeast Nebraska until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening as a light glaze of ice is possible. A post by BPS on Facebook states buses will run accordingly, but all after school activities have been cancelled.

As roads deteriorate, crews in Lancaster County responded to two serious crashes this morning, one near Hickman and one near Nebraska Parkway and Highway 2.
