Emergency plane landing on Highway 136 Near Hebron on Sunday

HEBRON, Neb -- The Thayer County Sheriff's Office responded to an emergency airplane landing on Sunday, an incident that brought swift action from multiple local agencies.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the small plane made a safe emergency landing on Highway 136, approximately half a mile east of Hebron. The pilot skillfully managed to land the aircraft without incident or injury. After the landing, the plane was later taxied to the Hebron Airport.

The aircraft, a single engine Cessna Commuter plane owned by Bernadt Aviation was flying from the Tecumseh Municipal Airport Sunday morning.

Officials from Nebraska Game and Parks, along with the Hebron Fire Department, were also on the scene to assist.
